BAI Director Rubina O. Cresencio, Department of Health (DOH) Rabies Program Manager Dr. Ernesto ES. Villalon III, City Mayor Jaime R. Fresnedi and Born to be Wild Hosts Dr. Ferdinand Recio and Dr. Neilsen B. Donato will grace the opening ceremony.
The celebration will highlights the different activities such as the ceremonial turn-over of school-based materials by the Global Alliance for Rabies Control (GARC) in coordination with Knowledge Channel and Muntinlupa City Early Childhood Education Division; mass vaccination for dogs and cats; puppet show and awarding of hero dogs.

The Muntinlupa City Health Office in collaboration with the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine (RITM) will launch the Free Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis vaccination for Grade 1 pupils in the whole Muntinlupa City.
The event will also include free consultation and deworming for dogs and cats as well as Rabies lecture and film viewing. There will be also Rabies song writing contest for college students, poster making contest for high school , dog mask making contest for elementary and Rabies information, education and communication (IEC) material for local government units (LGUs) in National Capital Region (NCR).
The Rabies Awareness Month is celebrated annually in the Philippines by virtue of the Proclamation No. 84, series of 1999.
